A note from Kimberly B

By Kimberly Bryant, editor of Macaroni Kid DSF March 3, 2017

Good morning Macaroni Kid Douglasville-South Fulton Family!

My picture fully expresses how I feel right now!  This week has been super hectic.  Our homeschool schedule has been thrown off due to my son being a lead character in Konos' Academy production of Fiddler on the Roof down in Newnan.

I have multiple kids cakes going out this weekend from my bakery and I even have a cupcake decorating class on Sunday at Michaels in Douglasville!

I can honestly tell you I have not meal prepped this week nor have we gone to the YMCA.  We are so far off track its not even funny.....but let me tell you what the kids and I HAVE done!

Last week we met the Phantom of the Opera....like in real life, we met Derrick Davis, THE current Phantom of the Opera!  We spent a good hour with him and then we saw the show.  It's absolutely amazing!!!!! Please don't let the opportunity to pass you by!  Go see this show!

I took the kids to see the Universoul Circus......its was indeed intense and a hoot!  We had a fantastic time!  We've explored the Children's Museum of Atlanta's latest exhibit on how transportation works and incorporated it into our homeschool curriculum.  We spent an afternoon at the Ronald McDonald House.  We were recently invited to see one of the shows in the ArtsBridge foundation series and when I say we loved it......we loved it!

We've given away tickets to the Harlem Globetrotters on facebook this week and look forward to bringing you more information on what's going on for Spring Break!

My daughter started tutoring with Shaping Minds Tutoring and I'll be sharing our experience with you in the coming weeks.  We've even been out on the campaign trail for the new city of South Fulton!  We've been BUSY!  I do hope you find this newsletter informative.  I love getting your feedback so drop me a line and let me know how I'm doing and what you would like to see more of!
