Splash!
The crisp cold water splashes around your body. The laughter of children fills the air as the aroma of the grill fills your nostrils. The entire family has come over for a backyard bar-b-que and life couldn't be more perfect. You exit the pool to check on the grill. Your back was turned for just a few moments. As you scan the pool your youngest child can't be found......
No parent wants to ever feel the rush of emotions and increased heart rate this scenario will present. The National Pool Safely Campaign strives to help us avoid these situations by following a few steps:
- Never Leave a Child Unattended in or near water
- Teach Children how to swim
- Teach children to stay away from drains
- Be sure all pools and spas have compliant drain covers
- Know how to provide CPR
- Take the pledge!
