WIN TICKETS TO Serenbe Playhouse's SLEEPY HOLLOW

GIVEAWAY

By Kimberly Bryant October 2, 2017

My family was invited to this year's season of Serenbe Playhouse's Sleepy Hollow Experience.  This is our third year in a row seeing this show and each year it has been in a different location.  Not only has it been in a different location but somehow it gets better every year.  I can remember our first time going when it started at the top of the Serenbe Stable Barn and freaked us all the way out!  Last year out in the woods was creepy, but this year we drove further into the darkness within the Serenbe property to find "Sleepy Hollow!"
Indeed it was an EXPERIENCE!

Which SLEEPY HOLLOW Character Are You?

Here are my tips on seeing this particular show at Serenbe
:

1) I give this year's show a PG-13 rating - mild adult humor

2) The show is perfect for any age as long as they are not afraid of the dark!

3) It's a MOVING show, that means walking around the woods at night!

4) There is a REAL party during Intermission-Seriously and this year you can roast your own marshmallows for SMORES!

5) This is NOT a sensory friendly show

6) There will be a Homeschool DAY version of the show

The cast wants you to know that when you see an outdoor show the "Show Must Go On" as long as it's safe for the audience.  That includes interacting with the elements of nature (bugs and maybe even a bat or two!), cold, rain, etc will not stop the show unless it is deemed unsafe!

My suggestion is to dress appropriately for the weather!  We wore long pants and had jackets since the show doesnt happen until the later evening hours.  For those of you with high schoolers or scary movie enthusiast, I would suggest the 10pm show on the weekends!  They are sure to get a kick out of it.

The characters will stay true to their roles, so if your kid happens to say "I like your costume" be prepared for a creepy response like "This is my REAL skin."  This show has just the right amount of creepiness to give you a good fright without totally terrifying your family.

feels like just yesterday that Brian Clowdus was on my phone asking me to Assistant Direct the very first
production of this show. I never would have guessed that 5 years later I’d be standing in a field ready to
remount this tale. I could not be more excited for its return and its lasting legacy as an Atlanta Halloween
tradition.”
