If you answered yes to any of the above, Macaroni Kid Douglasville-South Fulton wants you! We are looking to expand our editorial selection and to build a team of contributing writers... and we want you to be a part of it!
Guest writers may submit an article on any topic of their choosing, geared toward an audience of families with children.
Local content must refer to places within Douglasville, Lithia Springs, South West Atlanta, City of South Fulton, College Park, Fairburn, Chattahoochee Hills, Union City and Palmetto, or within a day trip of Atlanta, Ga. Ideal article length is between 3-5 paragraphs; lists are great too!
Aside from potentially having their writing published on our website and e-newsletter, from time to time, our regular contributors may be asked to participate in specific writing assignments which may include product, venue, restaurant or event reviews and be provided complimentary tickets, items or admission for the purpose of such a review.
Contributors will be compensated $15 for each article that is chosen for publishing. Submission does not guarantee publishing and timing will depend on our editorial calendar. Any articles submitted by or about a business will be considered but will not qualify for paid compensation (a blurb about the business may be included in the footer). All content subject to final editing by Macaroni Kid Douglasville-South Fulton.
To submit your article, email the content along with title and byline, to kimberlybryant@macaronikid.com. A photo or graphic to go with the article is greatly appreciated and greatly increase the chances of the article being published; any images submitted must be able to be shared without risk of copyright infringement.
