Do You Have what it takes? End of Year Reflection

Letter from the Editor

By Kimberly Houston-Bryant December 29, 2017

Greetings Macaroni Kid family,

Its the final newsletter of the year and I can't help but be in a reflective state of mind.  This has been an amazing year for my family and for me personally.  Our little site only had about 70 subscribers at this time two years ago and we have increased to over 1100.  That is absolutely amazing.  I've loved meeting you out at events.  My family has attended countless shows and gone several places per the reader's requests.  We've catered lunch for two schools via our Gold Daisy School contest.  I've partnered with multiple organizations to help make a difference in our community.

As things continue to change my life personally I am humbled by the outpouring of love from my community partners.  We have been there for one another during the loss of life of several young people in South Fulton.  We were supportive of Langston Hughes High when their students were killed in a car accident at 92 and Butner Rd.  We mourned with the mother that lost her son at a local camp.  We came together and helped Touch of Life Family Chiropractic create Christmas for needy families.  We supported the mayoral candidates this year in the formation of the new City of South Fulton.  We've been in the community working diligently.

As we move into a new year I want to ask you, my loyal readers, do you have what it takes to pick up the torch to continue running the race to make this area an amazing place for families to live, work and play?  If so, I'd love to hear from you via email.  Let me know your ideas and thoughts?  How could you be a beacon of light and continue to improve the quality of life for our subscribers?
