Celebrating 25 years of Fun’ with Universoul Circus and 6 children

How did mom and granny survive

By Veronica Vante February 13, 2018

According to my 13-year-old, I am a cool and fun mom. I cannot disagree with her considering that I took three 13-year-old and two 5-year-old girls, a toddler and my mother to Universoul Circus - on a school night. You may think I had the support of a commanding grandparent, but she was just there for the show! I was on my own as the mom in charge. We packed up and made our way up I-85, with Turner Field being the final destination. Parking was exactly across the street in the Gold lot and only cost $10. That's special and feels like VIP status when you are traveling with a pack of children.

Before the show started, the girls rode on the camels for $10 a person, center stage as everyone watched. After the camel ride but before the show could even start, they purchased a bag of popcorn, a bag of cotton candy to share and two drinks. I already knew the money was almost gone and they would want more but this cool mom has a budget. So, when they asked for more as they saw the gentlemen passing by with flavored ice snacks and light toys, the answer was clear as day, “NO”. They put on sad faces, but the show began and they got over it quickly.

Our family includes a Pomeranian and while he could not be in attendance, we enjoyed the dog show for him/ The all-white furry dogs worked the crowd! The acrobats, horses, and flying dirt bikes kept all the families entertained. The teenagers were especially ecstatic about the trio, Fresh the Clowns. They danced in the crowd with fresh dance moves. One clown even got in a seat in front of the girls and danced for the audience. The girls went wild as they had ‘front row seats’ to awesome talent.
