We had a great time at Sesame Street Live! Let's Party last week and wanted to share a little bit with you about our experience.
The kids loved the spots outside the theater where we could take pictures of your kids in front of banners and the puppet theaters. They love to take pictures my kids. There was also a spot outside for merchandise purchasing, which my kids always like to see what is available to buy during the show. There were lots of options such as stuffed dolls, wands, etc. Great for fans who want a nice show memento.
Now for the show! The kids had an awesome time dancing and watching all the popular characters come out and meet and talk with the audience such as Big Bird, Grover, Elmo, and my 4 year's old favorite Abby!@
My littlest loved to dance during the show to all the songs. She was so excited also when we got there. She loves Sesame Street and I grew up with the Jim Henson company(The Muppets, Sesame Street, etc) so I was thrilled to go and see the show with my own kids. My oldest was not so much a fan as he is 9 and this is more of a show geared for 1-6 year old's. But he still enjoyed getting out to the theatre with us.
This was a very interactive show with the Sesame street characters and the new community center owners asking the audience questions on what the party should be, etc. The kids loved to answer the questions, they felt that they were important and meant something to the decision making process.
The show was great and I especially loved the big screen that showed a lot of educational things on it, such as why it is important to recycle. I think that being entertained at a show is great but educational material in a show is even better for my kids. I don't know how many of you may agree with this, but I am thinking that there are some out there who do like the educational material as well in events and shows that they take their kids to:)
