Welcome to the first week of October!

By Christina Stump-Publisher of Macaroni Kid Douglasville October 2, 2020

It's officially October and you know what that means...? Pumpkin time! And one of my favorite seasons! I love when you can get so many different pumpkin things, like pumpkin coffees, pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, and of course pumpkins! I am a huge fan of pumpkin bread and muffins, basically anything baked with pumpkin at this time of year in my house, I love the smell! And I love when the weather cools in GA, we get so many hot months that it's nice to have a few cool ones here and there during the year;) And there are so many ways to bake pumpkin when it's cool and fall time!

This week I have several new articles for you and your reading enjoyment. Lots of talk about Trick or Treating in our area and all over the world, being a problem with Coronavirus. So I am trying to highlight different ways of going about Halloween in our neck of the woods this year, so everyone can remain and continue being safe. We all need to be safe and only go out when necessary and social distance with others.

Over the past year, we have social distanced from other people in our community and have been spending alot of time together as a family in my house and I am really enjoying this time together. Because your kids are only kids once and then they are grown adults. So cherish your time together! In my house I have been cooking with my kids, we have been having outdoor cookouts, basically anything to stay busy at home and not be out around so many other people. And it's working, we are still healthy here in my house and will continue to remain so the remainder of this year, I think(no one can ever be sure;)

I hope that you are all finding ways to keep your families active, busy, and still remain involved with them on a daily basis!

That's it for this week,

See you all next time.

Be safe and Be blessed.
